Biographical Information[edit]
Yodsaphan Sae Wa has been on the Thai national team.
He debuted in the 2023 East Asian Baseball Cup. [1] In the 2022 Asian Games (held in 2023 after delays from COVID-19 rules), he started at second base in the opener and drew a walk from Mung Chuevakham of Laos his first time up. He wound up going 1-for-13 with 10 whiffs but also with 4 walks, a hit-by-pitch, three runs, two RBI and three steals in four tries. His lone hit was a triple off Ryota Wong so he had a 564 OPS, ahead of the team mark of 550. He fielded .931 at 2B. He was among the event leaders in walks (tied for 7th), whiffs (1st, one more than Hyung-jun Kim), steals (tied for 3rd, one behind Tsung-Che Cheng and Hue Thor), errors (tied for 8th) and double plays turned (tied for 9th). [2] He capped a busy year in the 2023 Asian Championship, going 0-for-9 with two runs and a RBI while handling nine chances error-free. He had the second worst oh-fer; only Rumsey Yasin (0 for 12) had more at-bats without a hit. [3]
