Biographical Information[edit]
Sung-woo Kim has played in the KBO and for the South Korea national baseball team.
Kim was drafted by the LG Twins in the 7th round of the 2022 KBO draft, and he stayed in the minors for the entire 2022 and 2023 seasons. He then represented South Korea in the 2023 Asian Championship. He was 2-for-3 in the opener against Chinese Taipei, then he went 2-for-2 with 3 RBI against State of Palestine. Kim then had a 1-for-5 record against the Philippines, and he was 1-for-4 versus Japan. In the Bronze Medal game, Kim pinch-hit for Jun-young Jeong and went 0-for-1. Korea beat their opponent with a 7-0 score to win Bronze. Kim stayed in the minors again for most of the 2024 season, and he only played 5 games with the big club.
