Monte Cristi, Monte Cristi
Monte Cristi, more properly called San Fernando de Monte Cristi, is the capital of Monte Cristi Province in the northwestern corner of the Dominican Republic. It is the birthplace of both the first Dominican big leaguer (Pedro San) and the first Dominican to play in the AL (Ozzie Virgil Sr.)
