Miguel Martinez pitched five seasons in the minor leagues.

Martinez was 3-2 with a 4.42 ERA for the 1999 DSL Cardinals then 0-1 with a 13.50 ERA in 2000 with the same club; he also was 2-5 with a 5.31 ERA for the Johnson City Cardinals. In 2001, he pitched for the DSL Cardinals (4.87) and Peoria Chiefs (5-8, 4.44).

Miguel spent 2002 with the Chiefs (3-0, 0.79 in 5 G) and Potomac Cannons (4-3, 6.55 in 8 G). He wrapped up in 2003 with the Chiefs (6-6, 3.39) and the Palm Beach Cardinals (1-1, 4.50).
