MLB announced on August 31, 2018 that Minnesota Twins minor league pitcher Alex Banks, who was on the roster of the rookie-level DSL Twins in the Dominican Summer League, received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
