Biographical Information[edit]

Edwin Minaya pitched in the minors leagues and the CPBL.

Minaya began his professional with the Oakland Athletics, and he was 5-3 with a 6.18 ERA for the AZL Athletics in 1999. He was 4-6 with a 4.22 ERA for the Vancouver Canadians in 2000, then he notched 5 saves with a 1.74 ERA in 13 games in 2001. He also pitched 13 games for the Visalia Oaks, and his ERA was 5.34. Minaya then had a 6.07 ERA in 32 games for the Oaks in 2002, and he led the Athletics organization. The Hiroshima Carp then signed him, but Minaya never pitch any games for their big club in 2 seasons for them. He was 2-1 with a 2.16 ERA in 3 games for the New Haven County Cutters in 2005, then he signed with the Chinatrust Whales in 2006. However, his ERA was 5.63 in 11 games, and the Whales released in May.
