Marco Castellano has played for the Peruvian national team.
A native of Venezuela, he moved to Peru and joined their national team. [1] He made two appearances for Peru in the 2022 Bolivarian Games, both times versus host Colombia. In his debut, he relieved Edgar Paredes in the second inning with a 4-0 deficit, one on and no out. He walked Rafael Romero, retired Luis Castro on a fly, gave up a RBI single to Jonathan Lozada, walked Diover Avila, walked Gerson Jimenez to force in a run, struck out Jesus Posso and got David Lozano to end the inning. He pitched a scoreless fourth but walked the first two batters in the fifth and Gianpierre Reaño relieved; one of the runners would score, giving him three runs in two innings. He started their other game versus Colombia but walked five and allowed two hits and four runs (all earned) in 2/3 IP before Reaño succeeded him. He led the event with 11 walks allowed, 5 more than runner-up Paredes. Only Ken Ishihara allowed more runs, while he had the 4th-highest ERA in the Games (after Alex Takano, Marcos Frias and Jesus Tona. [2]
