Biographical Information

Jesús Posso has played in the minors and for the Colombian national team.

He was signed in April 2013 by Philadelphia Phillies scout Koby Perez. Making his pro debut with the DSL Phillies that summer, he hit .212/.321/.303 while fielding .904 in 31 games at 3B; he also played 13 games at 1B and 10 at C. In 2014, he was with the GCL Phillies (.245/.314/.340) and Clearwater Threshers 92 for 8, 2B, HR, 2 RBI), playing primarily catcfher. In 2015, he was mostly a 1B for the Williamsport Crosscutters, fielding .993 there; he produced at a .236/.283/.404 clip and his 6 homers tied for 6th place in the New York-Penn League.

Posso was on the Colombian national team roster for the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers in March 2016 but did not get into a game as the backup to Luis Martinez as Colombia won a spot in the World Baseball Classic for the first time.
