Biographical Information[edit]
Luis Castro played in the minors and been on the Colombian national team.
He was signed by San Diego Padres scout Andres Cabadias in 2016. [1] He played one season for the AZL Padres 2, hitting .168/.318/.178 in 2017 and striking out in 47 of 101 at-bats. He fielded well with 50 putouts, 3 assists and no errors. He was 2 for 8 with a double, three walks, run and two RBI for Colombia in the 2021 U-23 Baseball World Cup as Colombia placed third. [2]
Castro made Colombia's squad for the 2022 Bolivarian Games. [3] He hit .188/.333/.250; all three of his hits were against Peru. He had 10 putouts, an assist and no errors in the outfield. [4]
