Biographical Information[edit]

Howard Norsetter has been a long-time scout.

Norsetter played baseball in Australia's winter leagues after high school. In 1990-1991, he managed the Melbourne Bushrangers to a 11-27 season. Also, in 1991, the Minnesota Twins hired him as a Canada/Australia scout, covering the North American country in the summer and Australia in the winter. He later added parts of Asia and Europe to his territory, while losing Canada.

He has signed several major leaguers, including Grant Balfour, James Beresford, Liam Hendriks, Luke Hughes, Max Kepler, Justin Morneau, Michael Nakamura, Trent Oeltjen and Aaron Whitefield. He also signed Tim Atherton, Chris Burke, Allan De San Miguel, Mitchell Edwards, Darren Fidge, Yancarlo Franco, Sam Gibbons, Josh Guyer, Jakub Hajtmar, Josh Hendricks, Matej Hejma, Andrey Lobanov, Nikau Pouaka-Grego, Hein Robb, Alexander Smit, Markus Solbach, Brad Tippett, Loek van Mil, Todd Van Steensel, Logan Wade, Lachlan Wells and Rixon Wingrove among others.
