Melbourne Bushrangers

From BR Bullpen

The Melbourne Bushrangers were a team in the Australian Baseball League. They joined the ABL for the 1990-1991 season and went 11-27 for Howie Norsetter. They finished last and placed SS Richard Vagg on the All-Star squad as a second-teamer. In 1991-1992, the Bushrangers were 18-27 for Dan McConnon. Vagg (.358) led the league with 57 hits and was second in average; he was a first-team All-Star at SS while OF Chris Hatcher was named to the second team.

During the 1992-1993 Australian Baseball League season, McConnon's team was 13-34 and back in last, thanks to a 6.13 ERA. David White somehow led the league in wins (9). Kevin Scott was named to the All-Star team as the top catcher.

The next season, the club was renamed the Canberra Bushrangers after moving.
