[2] He represented Australia in the 2019 U-18 Baseball World Cup, hitting .361/.395/.556 with 7 doubles in 9 games, fielding .983 at catcher. He had 3 doubles and 3 RBI in their Bronze Medal Game loss to South Korea. He led the event in doubles, two ahead of Robert Hassell and Ruendrick Piternella. He lost out the event's All-Star catcher nod to Spain's Juan Gonzalez. [3]

He was 9-for-51 for the Aces in 2019-2020. Burke he didn't play any games in the summer of 2020 as the coronavirus shut down the minor leagues. Burke hit .242/.324/.424 in 19 games for the Aces in 2020-2021. He made his minor league debut with the FCL Phillies, and he was 10-for-28 with them in 13 games. He also recorded a .217/.294/.304 batting line with the Clearwater Threshers in the '21 season, but he slumped to .073/.208/.098 in 2022 there. He was released after that season, and he played 25 games with a .217/.323/.374 batting line in the 2022-2023 ABL.

The Kansas City Royals then signed him, but Burke still struggled as his batting line was .091/.286/.182 for the ACL Royals. He then represented Australia in the 2023 Asia Professional Baseball Championship, and he was 0-for-5 against South Korea as the starting right fielder in their opener. He went 0-for-2 against Chinese Taipei, and he didn't get an at-bat versus Japan. In the Bronze Medal Game, Burke went 2-for-4 with a RBI double against Chun-Wei Chiu, but Chinese Taipei beat them thanks to Tien-Hsin Kuo's walk-off hit.[4] He improved to .236/.274/.337 in 2023-2024, and he was on Australia's roster of the 2024 U-23 Baseball World Cup.
