- Affiliation: Chicago Cubs 1997-2007, 2013-2015
The DSL Cubs represent the Chicago Cubs in the Dominican Summer League. The team has produced Starlin Castro, Raúl Valdés, Pedro Castellano, Renyel Pinto and Carlos Marmol.
In 2008, the team was replaced by to teams, the DSL Cubs 1 and DSL Cubs 2. The Cubs had previously sent players to the 1991 DSL Royals/Cubs, 1992 DSL Royals/Cubs/Rockies, 1993 DSL Cubs/Rangers, and 1994-1996 DSL Cubs/Padres.
In 2013, the Cubs replaced the DSL Cubs 2 with the VSL Cubs. Thus, the DSL Cubs 1 were renamed the DSL Cubs. The Cubs pulled out of the VSL in 2016 (causing the league to shut down) and went back to sponsoring DSL Cubs 1 and DSL Cubs2.
