Biographical information[edit]
Claudio Almonte has managed, played and coached in the minors.
Almonte hit .287/.333/.362 for the 1997 GCL Twins and stole 16 bases in 21 tries. Moving up to the Elizabethton Twins in 1998, his batting line read .303/.356/.444 with 45 runs in 62 games and 12 stolen bases in 14 attempts. The next year, he played for both Elizabethton (.314/.391/.459 in 45 G) and the Quad City River Bandits (.213/.304/.267 in 46 G).
Claudio was a coach for the Minnesota Twins organization from 2004-2007. In 2009, he became manager of the DSL Cardinals and led the team to a 46-27 record, one game shy of the division title. He was a coach for the DSL Cubs in 2015 and AZL Cubs 2 in 2018-2019.
