Biographical Information[edit]
C.C. Slapnicka was General Manager of the Cleveland Indians from 1935 to 1941. He also scouted for the Indians, Detroit Tigers, and Chicago Cubs from 1918 to 1957 and discovered, scouted and/or signed players such as Gil Aase, Hugh Alexander, Bill Andrus, Bobby Avila, Herb Crompton, Mel Harder, Ken Keltner, Roxie Lawson, Stu Locklin, Fred Marsh, Rudy Regalado, Dick Rozek, Bill Zuber, Earl Whitehill, Hal Trosky, Bob Feller, Jim Hegan, Lou Boudreau, Vern Fear, Herb Score, Dick Brown, Gordy Coleman, Dick Stigman and Chuck Hiller.
