The B classification existed as a way to rank minor leagues from 1902 (the start of the classification system) through 1962. Leagues to hold that classification were the following:

- Florida International League 1949-1954
- Gulf Coast League 1951-1953
- Interstate League 1940-1952
- Michigan-Ontario League 1919-1926
- Mississippi Valley League 1933
- New England League 1902-1915, 1919, 1926-1930, 1933, 1946-1949
- New York-Pennsylvania League 1923-1932
- New York State League 1902-1917
- Northeastern League 1934
