Chih-Chiang Chang pitches for the Uni-President Lions for 12 seasons. He is the cousin of Chia-Jung Wu and uncle of Yu Chang, Wei-Sheng Chang, Po-Chieh Fan, Chen-Hsun Lee and Jin-De Jhang,
Chang allowed 2 hits, 2 walks and 4 unearned runs in 1/3 of an inning in the 2000 Haarlem Baseball Week, going 0-1. He was drafted by the Uni-President Lions in the first round of the 2003 CPBL Draft and he debuted that year, allowing one run in five innings. In 2004, the right-hander had a 3.52 ERA in 7 2/3 IP. He was 3-6 with a 4.37 ERA in 2005. In the 2006 season, Chang was 0-3 with a 5.15 ERA.
The hurler from Taitung City posted a 3-5, 5.26 record in the 2007 CPBL. In 2008, he improved to 6-5, 3.48 and notched 5 holds. He was selected into the 2008 CPBL All-Star Game, and he pitched 2 shutout innings. Chang struggled in the 2008 Taiwan Series, as he allowed 2 runs in 2 innings in Game 1, then allowed another 2 runs in an inning in Game 3. The Lions still beat the Brother Elephants in 7 games. Chang slumped to 6-4 with a 7.13 ERA in 32 games in 2009, and he only pitched 11 games in 2010.
Chang had a 4.53 ERA in 37 relief outings in 2011. In the 2011 Taiwan Series, he pitched 2 shutout innings in Game 3 and recorded 1 2/3 shutout innings in Game 4. The Lions beat the Lamigo Monkeys in 5 games, and Chang won his second Taiwan Series title. His ERA rose to 5.21 in 21 games in 2012, and he only pitched 4 games in 2013. He had a 0.96 ERA in 10 games in 2014, then he announced his retirement.
Overall, Chang was 23-24, collected 16 holds with a 4.60 ERA, pitched 451 2/3 innings in 220 appearances and struck out 274 in 12 seasons in the CPBL.
