Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Wei-Sheng Chang played in the CPBL. His uncle is former CPBL pitcher Chih-Chiang Chang, and his brothers are MLB infielder Yu Chang and CPBL catcher Jin-De Jhang.

Chang represented Taiwan in the 2012 U-15 Baseball World Cup. The Uni-President Lions drafted him in the second round of the 2018 CPBL Draft, but he spent his first two seasons primarily in the minor league, only playing 15 games with the big club. He hit .262/.360/.369 in 29 games in 2020, and his batting line was .267/.349/.281 in 20021. Chang went 0-for-2 in the 2021 Taiwan Series, and the CTBC Brothers swept the Lions. However, he injured his ankle before the 2022 season, and he nearly missed the entire season. Chang was placed in the minor league again in 2023, and he only played 8 games with the big club.
