2012 Division III College World Series

From BR Bullpen

The 2012 Division III College World Series was held in Appleton, WI from May 25 to May 30. The eight schools qualified by winning one of eight regional tournaments. Marietta College defeated Wheaton College (MA) in the championship game.

Marietta becomes the first repeat champion in Division III since Glassboro State College in 1978-1979, which was the longest repeat drought in any NCAA sport. That distinction now belongs to Division II basketball, which hasn't had a repeat champion since 1993-1994.
