Biographical Information[edit]

Eric Podbelski has been a college coach.

Podbelski won 23 games as a pitcher at Brandeis and also played for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod League. He was an assistant coach at Brandeis for five years. He then became head coach of Wheaton College for the 1998 season. He was 434-167-4 in his first 14 seasons and won 11 NEWMAC titles, as well as guiding future major leaguer Chris Denorfia. He took Wheaton to the 2006 Division III College World Series (the school's first trip to the Division III College World Series and later took them to the 2012 Division III College World Series, 2017 Division III College World Series, and 2021 Division III College World Series.
