1989 Division III College World Series
The 1989 Division III College World Series was the 2nd and last to be held in Bristol, CT. The six teams qualified by winning one of six Regional tournaments. North Carolina Wesleyan College defeated California State University, Stanislaus in the championship game. 1B James Anderson of NC Wesleyan was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament. Unlike the previous year when all the participants had been in the Division III College World Series and four of them had won one, this year's tournament included four teams making their CWS debut.
