Joe Brown

Biographical Information[edit]

Joe Brown has been head baseball coach at SUNY Cortland since 2000. During that time, he has posted a 854-239-4 record (through 2023) and gone to the Division III College World Series 11 times, winning the title in 2015 and finishing second in 2005 and 2010. Prior to that, he was the school's pitching coach from 1993 to 1999. Brown was also an assistant at Miami University in 1992 and Finger Lakes Community College in 1991. As a player, his Ithaca club won the 1988 Division III College World Series.

Brown also spent 14 years managing in the summer collegiate leagues, winning five championships with three different teams. His 192 wins are most in New York Collegiate Baseball League history.
