1978 Caribbean Series
The 1978 Caribbean Series (Serie del Caribe) was the ninth edition of the second stage of the Caribbean Series. It was held in Mazatlán, México from February 4 to February 9. The series featured four teams from Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. The Indios de Mayagüez of the Puerto Rican League won the series and were managed by René Lacheman. The Most Valuable Player was Leon Roberts an outfielder with the Leones del Caracas.
