Biographical Information[edit]

Tommy Thomas was head baseball coach at Valdosta State University from 1968 to 2007 and led the team to the 1979 Division II College World Series championship, one of seven times he took the school to the Division II World Series. He was 1,328-825-6, the first NCAA Division II coach to 1,200 wins and 1,300 wins. Through 2009, no one else has even reached the 1,200 level. In 2016, he was inducted into the College Baseball Hall of Fame.
