Biographical Information[edit]
Ryosuke Aizawa played for Toyota in the Industrial League after college. [1] He represented Japan in the 2023 Asian Championship. Aizawa debuted against Pakistan, going 2-for-4, with a double against Muhammad Amjad Aslam in the 5th inning. He then went 2-for-4, with a two-run triple against Phanuwat Sukmuang of Thailand. He was 2-for-2 with 2 walks, and a 2-run double off Juan Paulo Macasaet in the next game against Philippines, then went 0-for-5 against Taiwan. He was 0-for-1 with a walk against Byeong-heon Lee of South Korea. In the Gold Medal Game, he was on the bench and Japan beat Taiwan to win the Gold. He handled 5 chances error-free in center field for the event and recorded an assist. He tied for 6th in the event in runs (5) despite sitting out the finale, was 3rd in OBP (after Tariq Suboh and Tsz-Yin Jordan Wen), 4th in slugging (between Beom-seok Kim and Joe Daru), 3rd in OPS (after Wen and Namoh Iyang) and tied for 4th in walks (5, even with Masashi Maruyama and Raees Bashir).
