Biographical Information[edit]

Ronny Rincones has pitched in the minors and for the Venezuelan national team.

Rincones signed with the New York Mets. He was 1-1 with a save and a 2.44 ERA for the 2019 DSL Mets 1 and DSL Mets 2 combined, fanning 53 in 51 2/3 IP.The 2020 minor league season was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He returned in 2021, pitching briefly for the FCL Mets (1-0, Sv, 4.50 in 4 G) and the St. Lucie Mets (1 R in 1 IP). His record as a pro was 2-1 with two saves and a 2.82 ERA.

He pitched for Venezuela in the 2022 Bolivarian Games. In their debut, he relieved Angel Leon in the 6th with two on, one out and a 9-0 lead over the Dominican national team (the lone loss for the Dominicans in the event). Trinitty Berroa greeted him with a RBI double and Victor Luna hit a sacrifice fly to cut it to 9-2, then he got Ricardo Andújar on a grounder. Oscar Abreu relieved him in the 7th. His next game was also rough. Replacing Gabriel Acosta in the 5th with two on, no outs and a 3-1 lead over Peru, his first batter was Susumu Yoza, who reached on a fielder's choice. He struck out Roberto Ayarza then Jin Ishihara hit into a force at home, but he walked Daniel Liu to force in one run then Daniel Shimura hit a three-run double. He struck out Johan Verastegui but the damage had been done. Javier Gorrin succeeded him but Venezuela fell, 5-4, Rincones taking the loss in the country's fist loss ever to Peru in an international tournament. [1]
