Biographical Information[edit]
Ángel León had a 4.61 ERA in 16 outings for the Bravos de Margarita in the 2021-2022 Venezuelan League; a LOOGY, he totaled 13 2/3 IP. He then pitched for the Venezuelan national team that won Bronze in the 2022 Bolivarian Games. He debuted in their opener against the title-bound Dominican national team, relieving Javier Gorrin with one on in the 6th, no outs and a 9-0 lead. He retired Wildert Pujols and walked Winston López. Ronny Rincones then took over and would let the inherited runner score. He finished with three appearances, posting a 4.20 ERA. He tied five other hurlers (including Gorrin and Rincones) for the most games pitched in the Games. [1]
