Biographical Information[edit]
Wildert Pujols has played in the minors and for the Dominican national team.
Pujols was signed by Miami Marlins scouts Albert Gonzalez, Alex Martinez, Sandy Nin and Domingo Ortega in July 2011. [1] He hit .277/.346/.382 for the 2012 DSL Marlins, with 13 steals in 17 tries. The outfielder split '13 between the Batavia Muckdogs (.275/.289/.275 in 15 G) and GCL Marlins (.238/.322/.300 in 25 G). With Batavia in 2014, he produced at a .264/.316/.336 clip to end his pro career with a .265/.326/.340 line in 135 games, going 18-for-24 in steals.
He was on the Dominican team in the 2022 Bolivarian Games. He grounded in Randy Francisco his first time up (against Peru's Ken Ishihara) and hit the first Dominican homer ever in a Bolivarian Games when he took Ishihara deep in the 6th with Ricardo Andújar aboard. [2]
