Biographical Information[edit]

Ricardo Andújar spent six seasons in the minors. He later was on the Dominican national team.

He began his career in the Boston Red Sox chain, hitting .225/.361/.283 for the 2012 DSL Red Sox, fielding .897 at SS. He fell to .202/.324/.246 in 2013 while fielding .900 at third base. Let go, he signed with the Baltimore Orioles. In 2014, he batted .318/.400/.393 for the DSL Orioles 1, leading the team in average, doubles (12) and steals (15). He came stateside in 2015, producing at a .270/.299/.340 clip for the Aberdeen IronBirds and fielding .950 at short.

Andújar was a utility infielder for the 2016 Delmarva Shorebirds, hitting .251/.301/.319. He was with the Frederick Keys in '17, batting .250/.315/.348 in a similar role. In six seasons as a pro, he had hit .259/.330/.331 in 395 games (171 R, 109 RBI) and had fielded .933 in 183 games at SS, .895 in 103 at 3B and .970 in 91 at 2B. He was on the Dominican team for the 2022 Bolivarian Games. [1]
