Biographical Information[edit]
Jin Ishihara has been on the Peruvian national team alongside brother Ken Ishihara. Jin played in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 South American Championships, with Peru getting the Bronze in 2012. In the 2013 Bolivarian Games, he allowed four hits, two walks and three runs (two earned) in 4 1/3 IP and went 0 for 4 at the plate, fielding .875. He saw action at 3B, SS, LF and P. He also was in the 2015 South American Championship (Peru won the Bronze that year). He hit .211/.318/.474 in the 2016 South American Championship, homering off Pablo Ossandon to back his brother's 5-4 win over Chile that put Peru into the semifinals. In the round-robin phase, his .643 slugging percentage had ranked 6th, but he was 0 for 5 in the semifinals and Bronze Medal game.
