He retired Benjamin Goffaux and Benjamin Dille, walked Dennis De Quint then got Robin Roevens on a fly. When Austria scored three in the bottom of the 9th, he got the victory. His other game, he relieved Scheicher with a 12-7 lead in the bottom of the 10th against Greece and two men on due to the Schiller Rule. He retired Jimmy Lomis on a fly but allowed singles to Max Warren and Alejandro Torres-Skerrett to make it 12-8, then got Tom Roulis on a fly. His save bid came to an end when Dimitri Kourtis hit a grand slam. Ari Sechopoulos doubled but he got George Tsiflikiotis on a fly. Things went much better in the bottom of the 11th as he struck out Antonio Torres-Skerrett and John Kalivas then got Kosta Kapothanasis on a fly. Austria scored once in the 12th. Warren bunted into a run-scoring error then Alejandro Torres-Skerrett walked. Roulis hit a comebacker and Schadler went home for the force, then Kourtis hit into a force at home as well. Sechopoulos flew to right but Georg Stemmer dropped it to end the game and hand Schadler the loss. [6]
