John Kalivas has played for the Greek national team.
Kalivas was 3 for 11 with 4 runs, 3 walks and 4 RBI in the 2018 C-Level European Championship, which Greece won. [1] He was 1 for 13 with two walks, hit-by-pitch and a run. [2] He was assistant coach at Carleton University starting in 2020. [3] In the 2021 European Championship, he was part of a rotation in left field. He started in the opener against Bronze Medal-winning Italy, striking out and grounding out against Claudio Scotti and striking out versus Murilo Gouvêa. He also played versus Austria, replacing Paul Neophytou. As one of the starting runners in extra innings, he scored in the bottom of the 10th on a Dimitri Kourtis home run. He struck out against Nico Schadler in the 11th, then scored in the 12th, again as a starting runner. [4]
He also played briefly in the Central Canada Hockey League. [5]
