Biographical Information[edit]

Miguel Saladin pitched in the minors leagues and the CPBL.

Saladin began his career with the Houston Astros, and he was 1-4 with a 7.13 ERA for the Auburn Doubledays while going 1-0 with a 5.06 ERA for the Martinsville Astros in 1999. He improved to a 0.68 ERA in 27 games with 4 saves in Auburn in 2000, then he notched 11 saves with a 2.93 ERA in 46 games for the Michigan Battle Cats in 2001. Saladin then collected 24 saves with the Round Rock Express in 2002, and he recorded a solid 2.06 ERA in 53 relief outings. He also pitched 2 games for the AAA New Orleans Zephyrs, and his ERA was 4.50.

Staying in New Orleans for the entire 2003 season, Saladin pitched 55 games with a 2.99 ERA, and he notched 3 saves. He then had a 4.04 ERA in 49 games in 2004, and he became a free agent. The Cincinnati Reds signed him, but Saladin struggled there as his ERA was 7.79 in 22 games for the Louisville Bats in 2005. He also pitched 10 games with a 3.45 ERA for the AA Chattanooga Lookouts, and he had a 9.53 ERA in 8 games for the Azucareros del Este in winter. The Chinatrust Whales then signed him, and he notched 6 saves with a solid 1.32 ERA in 15 games in 2007. He had a 3.21 ERA in 13 games in Azucareros, but he then recorded a 11.74 ERA in 10 games for the Aguilas Cibaenas in 2008

Saladin collected 26 saves in 44 games with a 3.05 ERA and a 0-4 record for the Saraperos de Saltillo in 2009, and his ERA was 5.17 in 17 games for the Estrellas de Oriente in winter. He then notched 18 saves in 36 games in Saltillo in 2010, but his ERA rose to 6.19. He also pitched 23 2/3 innings in 18 games for the Bridgeport Bluefish, and he didn’t allow a single run. Saladin’s ERA was 5.63 in 10 games for the Algodoneros de Guasave in winter, and he had a 7.31 ERA in 16 games for the Mayos de Navojoa. Saladin improved to a 1.86 ERA in 27 games with 14 saves for the Vaqueros Laguna in 2011, and he also recorded a 3.27 ERA in 10 games for the Bluefish. However, he only pitched one game in Laguna in 2012, and his professional career ended.
