In his debut, he relieved Kevin Yamamoto in the bottom of the 5th with two outs and two on, down 6-0 lead. He walked Rando Moreno then retired Luis Guzmán. In the 6th, he retired Wandherley Del Rosario, gave up singles to Luis Espinal and Stanley Javier, got Darlin German to hit into a force. Randy Francisco singled to make it 7-1 (Peru having scored in the top half) then Josuel Chalas grounded out. His other game was not as good as as he allowed two runs in 1 1/3 IP versus Colombia. He tied for 7th in the event in games pitched. [1]

In the 2022 South American Championship, he replaced Marco Castellano with a 2-2 tie in the 8th against Argentina. With two runners starting aboard due to the WBSC extra-inning and 7-inning regulation game rules, he began by walking Lucas Nakandakare. Eduardo Zurbriggen doubled in two then Pedro Figueras doubled in one. He hit Sebastián García, retired Agustín Tissera on a grounder, then yielded a two-run single to Exequiel Talevi to make it 7-2. Kevin Yamamoto took over and let the inherited runner score to saddle Miyagusuku with a 105.00 ERA. Ronal Quiroga was next-worst in the event at 25.20. [2]
