Biographical Information[edit]

Pedro Figueras (also known as Agustín Figueras) has played for the Argentinian national team.

Figueras was 1 for 9 with a RBI in the 2014 U-15 Baseball World Cup and allowed six unearned runs in 2/3 IP. [1] He debuted for Argentina's senior national team in the 2022 South American Championship. He started at third in their opener, batting 5th versus Ecuador. He singled off Israel Saldarriaga his first at-bat. He finished the event at .471/.500/.529 with five runs and four RBI in six games, despite an 0-for-3 finale against Brazil's Andre Rienzo when Argentina was held to two hits as a team in a loss. He fielded .905. He tied for third in the event in runs (two behind Osvaldo Carvalho and Sebastián García), tied for second in hits (8, one behind Exequiel Talevi), tied for 7th in RBI, tied Gustavo Landin and Felipe Burin for 5th in total bases (9), was 4th in average (between Burin and Susumu Yoza) and tied José Salas for fifth in assists (10). He was named the event's best defensive player. [2]

He got into one game in the 2022 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, replacing Talevi at second late in a blowout loss to Panama. He grounded out against Matt Hardy and handled two chances (one putout and one assist). [3]
