Biographical Information

Josuel Chalas has represented the Dominican Republic in both baseball and softball. He was on their team in the 2017 World Men's Softball Championship. In the 2022 Bolivarian Games, the 33-year-old was playing baseball for the Dominicans. He debuted versus Peru, batting second and playing left in the opener. He was 0 for 4 against Ken Ishihara and Akira Itokazu. After starting the Games 0 for 8, he hit a two-run double off Alex Takano (also of Peru) and then had a three-hit game the next day versus Venezuela.
