Biographical Information[edit]
Johnhil Carreon has been on the Philippines national team.
He was slated to represent the Filipino squad in the 2020 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, one of the first baseball events canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [1] He did play for them in the 2022 Asian Games (which were delayed to 2023, also due to COVID). He hit cleanup and played right field in the opener against Japan, striking out against Makoto Hori his first time up. His first hit came two games later, a double off Laos's Mung Chuevakham to drive in Adriane Ros Bernardo. He saved his best for last, falling a homer shy of a cycle and driving in three against Thailand to finish at .333/.350/.563 with five RBI in five games, handling 8 putouts error-free in center and right. He tied for 5th in the Games with two doubles, tied for 1st with one triple, tied for fifth in RBI (with Jake Chaisonkram, Ji-hoon Choi, Tzu-Hao Lin, Hiroki Nakagawa and Seifu Suzuki) and tied Si-hwan Roh for 8th in slugging (10+ AB).
