Biographical Information[edit]

Jake Jie Ren Chaisonkram was a redshirt freshman at Hawaii-Hilo in 2022-2023. [1] He on the Thai national team in the 2022 Asian Games (his father was American of Thai descent while his mother was from Taiwan). [2] He started in left field and hit third against Singapore, singling off Eleazar Jie Xian Ng in the first and later adding hits off Ryota Wong and Hans Benno Pereira for a 3-for-5 day with two runs and three RBI. He finished the Games at .273/.304/.273 with five RBI in six games, fielding .889. He was 4th among the Thai regulars in OPS but tied Joe Daru for the team lead in runs and led them in RBI. He tied for fifth overall in RBI, even with Johnhil Carreon, Ji-hoon Choi, Tzu-Hao Lin, Hiroki Nakagawa and Seifu Suzuki. [3]
