Biographical Information[edit]
Seifu Suzuki played for JR East Japan Tohoku in the Industrial League after college. [1] He represented Japan in the 2022 Asian Games. Suzuki debuted against the Philippines, going 0-for-3 and drew a walk against Vladimir Eguia in the 7th inning. He then went 2-for-2 with a two-run double against Yayua Wa and a RBI single against Thor Hue of Laos. He was 0-for-4 in the next game, then drew a walk against Se-woong Park of South Korea. In the Bronze Medal Game, he was 1-for-3 with a clutch two-run single against Ningji Li to help Japan beat China and win the Bronze. He tied Hiroki Nakagawa for the team lead in RBI, tied for 5th in the Games. He did not handle a chance in three games in the outfield, playing DH the other two contests. [2]
