Biographical Information[edit]
Adriane Ros Bernardo was the Outstanding Defensive Player in the 2015 East Asian Baseball Cup and the All-Star 2B (hitting .222/.291/.333) for the Philippines national team that won the title. He was the only Filipino to play both games of the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers for the Philippines as Filipino-Americans dominated the playing time. He went 1 for 5 with a walk, run and a RBI as their second baseman, getting his hit off Steve Kent of Australia. He made two errors in the last three plays of a 17-7 mercy rule loss to New Zealand, making one run-scoring error to let in Connar O'Gorman and make it 16-7 in the 7th. After a walk, he made an error on a Tyron Bartorillo grounder to let in Tim Auty with the winner. He did not lead the Philippines infield in errors as double play partner Matt Vance also had two; nor did he have the only game-ending error as 3B Brady Conlan had one in Game 1; both Vance and Conlan were American imports.
As the Philippines' shortstop and leadoff man in the 2017 Asian Championship, he hit .223/.346/.223 with four runs in seven games and fielded .906; he scored three times in their crucial win over Hong Kong to make it to the Final Four. He was 1 for 4 in the Bronze Medal game loss to South Korea.
