European Cup Pool B

From BR Bullpen

The European Cup Pool B tournament was a qualifying competition run by the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) that began in 1982. The winning teams country would be entered into the main European Cup the following year. Starting in 1993 two Pool B tournaments were held (in different locations).

In 2008 the CEB changed the European landscape, scrapping both the European Cupwinners Cup and CEB Cup and their Pool B equivalents and doubled the size of the European Cup. Four Pool B competitions were created, the winners would then play-off with the two teams who finished last in the main competition for a place in the next year's European Cup.

2015 was the final year of the European Cup Pool B Qualifiers and the play-off tournaments as the CEB brought back the CEB Cup.
