Barracudas de Montpellier

Winners of the 2006 Challenge de France

The Barracudas de Montpellier were formed in 1985 and quickly became a top team in the Division Élite. They won the pennant in 1993-1995 and took home Bronze in the 1994 European Cup. During this time, they benefited from the presence of Canadian national team pitching coach Greg Hamilton and future major league All-Star Jeff Zimmerman. They won the Challenge de France de baseball in 2006. The Barracudas have won four European trophies (the 1996 European Cup Pool B and 1997, 2001 and 2005 European Cupwinners Cup Pool B).
