European Cupwinners Cup

From BR Bullpen

The European Cupwinners Cup was a secondary tournament similar to the European Cup. Whereas the European Cup was a tournament for the champions of European countries, the Cupwinners Cup was a tournament for teams who finished second or even third in their particular league.

The Cup was first held in 1990. The Italian Baseball League stopped sending teams after the 2001 tournament. Neptunus of the Dutch Hoofdklasse won the Cup five times, a record. The Cupwinners Cup ran until 2007, when it was discontinued.
