The Borgerhout Squirrels were founded in 1947 and have played in the Belgian First Division. They won titles in 1955 and 1957 then had a long break before claiming the championship in 2014 and 2017. They have won four European trophies (the 1995 CEB Cup Pool B, 2016 Federations Cup Qualifier, 2017 Federations Cup and 2018 CEB Cup.
