Biographical Information[edit]

Elchero Francisca has pitched in the minors and for the Curaçao national team.

Signed by the Baltimore Orioles in 2020, he was 6-1 with a 3.08 ERA for the 2021 DSL Orioles 2. He fanned 39 in 38 innings but walked 23 and threw 7 wild pitches. He tied for 6th in the Dominican Summer League in wins. He fell to 1-3, 8.10 in 18 games for the '22 FCL Orioles. In the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, he was roughed up in his lone appearance for Curaçao. Relieving Jordan Lucas in the 6th with a 4-0 deficit, two outs and one on against the Dominican Republic, he allowed a RBI single to Carlos Paulino and a two-run homer to Wildert Pujols. Seuly Matias reached on an error by Platinum Glove winner Andrelton Simmons before he got his lone out, fanning Darlin Germán. Eric Gonzalez opened the 6th with a single; when Carlos Jimenez and Ricardo Cespedes both singled as well to make it 8-0, Swindly Lint relieved but let both inherited runners in, saddling Francisca with a 105.00 ERA. He had the event's highest ERA; Ángel León was next at 63.00. [1]
