Biographical Information

Carlos Jiménez has played in the minors and for the Dominican national team.

He was signed by Chicago Cubs scouts Gian Guzman and Jose Serra. He hit .301/.376/.435 with 21 steals in 27 tries and 41 runs in 57 games for the 2014 DSL Cubs, fielding .922 at short. With the 2015 AZL Cubs, he slumped to .236/.264/.330 with no steals in 30 games, fielding .833 at the hot corner. That ended his time in the Cubs chain.

In the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, he was the main third baseman for the Dominicans. He singled off Nicaragua's Osman Gutiérrez his first time up. He finished at .294/.400/.294 with six runs in six games, fielding .900. He led the team in runs, tied for 4th in the event.
