The DSL Diamondbacks have represented the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Dominican Summer League since 1996. Duaner Sanchez, Jose Valverde, Miguel Montero and Emilio Bonifacio are among the team's products.

The Diamondbacks also supported a second co-op team at times, the 2000 DSL Diamondbacks/Red Sox, 2003 DSL Diamondbacks/Expos, and 2008 DSL Diamondbacks/Reds.

In 2016 the Diamondbacks replaced the DSL Diamondbacks with two teams in the DSL, DSL Diamondbacks 1 and DSL Diamondbacks 2.
