Biographical Information[edit]
The son of longtime major leaguer Manny Mota, outfielder Tony Mota was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 17th round of the 1995 amateur draft but never reached the major leagues. He is the brother of big leaguers Jose Mota and Andy Mota and minor leaguer Gary Mota and the cousin of Jose Baez.
Mota was a coach for the DSL Dodgers in 2010. In 2012 he was hitting coach of the DSL Diamondbacks.
