Over 200 Olympians have pages now and many are "complete". - --Mischa 21:08, 12 Jun 2006 (EDT)
250 Olympians. Nice mix of nationalities. - --Mischa 13:45, 18 April 2007 (EDT)
Up to 300. - --Mischa 11:05, 26 December 2007 (EST)
350. We probably won't hit 400 until the 2008 Olympics. - --Mischa 19:58, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
375. - --Mischa 13:00, 31 July 2008 (EDT)
Added the Canadians who had not appeared prior to 2008; up to 397. As I get to the other first-time Olympians, we should easily top 500. - --Mischa 13:01, 21 August 2008 (EDT)
Added China. 413. - --Mischa 17:18, 21 August 2008 (EDT)
Over 450. - --Mischa 09:02, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
467. 6 of the 8 2008 Olympic teams are done. - --Mischa 14:53, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
Up to 500. - --Mischa 12:14, 1 September 2008 (EDT)
508 Olympians. We added 132 with the 2008 Games (we're missing pages for 7 of the 2008 baseball Olympians and the rest already had the Olympian category from the past). We might have reached the half-way point for this category. - --Mischa 15:34, 1 September 2008 (EDT)
550 entries. - --Mischa 12:58, 9 February 2009 (EST)
600. - --Mischa 21:32, 17 October 2009 (EDT)
650 with the addition of Clayton Byrne. 142 since the '08 Games ended. - --Mischa 11:35, 14 March 2010 (EDT)
#700 is Tomio Watanabe. - --Mischa 12:51, 18 June 2010 (EDT)
With Meleti Melehes, we now have covered all Greek Olympians in baseball. It's our second complete country after China (done in 2008). - --Mischa 14:53, 15 July 2010 (EDT)
We now have Spain done as well, with Manuel Martinez being the last one. - --Mischa 09:49, 6 August 2010 (EDT)
Up to 750, with Darryl Gonsalves. - --Mischa 16:23, 31 August 2010 (EDT)
South Africa was our fourth completed country. One in the first five years, then three in the last three months. - --Mischa 15:51, 20 September 2010 (EDT)
Cuba is our fifth completed country; Juan C. Pérez was the last one. Unlike our first four countries (South Africa, Spain, Greece and China), Cuba did not just participate in a single Olympics, but rather in five of them. - --Mischa 13:05, 4 January 2011 (EST)
Noh-jun Park is number 800. - --Mischa 15:29, 19 May 2011 (EDT)
850 with Dong-wook Lee - --Mischa 13:30, 11 January 2013 (EST)
Parris Mitchell brings us to 900 - --Mischa 14:41, 7 March 2013 (EST)
950, with the addition of Jose Quiroz. - --Mischa (talk) 14:56, 28 November 2013 (EST)
Canada is our sixth completed country and first in almost 3 years, with the final player being Stewart Hillman. Others are closing in; I think Nicaragua's down to one. - --Mischa (talk) 13:53, 18 December 2013 (EST)
Got our last Nicaraguan, Julio Moya. 7 countries done - --Mischa (talk) 11:15, 14 February 2014 (EST)
Roberto Casey makes it 1,000. My 2008 guess of being halfway when we got to 508 was close I think as we only have a couple from 1984 and a few dozen from 1988-1992 plus some from the earlier exhibitions. - --Mischa (talk) 13:32, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
The Dominican Republic is our 8th country done and first in four years, with Cipriano Ventura the last one. So, of the 16 countries to have fielded teams in the Olympics, we've finished half of them (and Taiwan has one player left with a red link, I think) - --Mischa (talk) 15:36, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
Taiwan is our 9th country done, over a year and a half after being down to one player as Wen-Chung Chang finally got an entry. We also now have bios of every Olympic Silver Medal winner, 9 years or so after we got all the Gold Medalists. - Mischa (talk) 21:50, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
With Jimmy Figueroa in the books, we now have every two-time Olympian. The only 1992 Olympians we have left are a handful of Italians and I keep hoping the Italian Baseball and Softball Federation will fix their statistical database, which has been down since last summer at least. - Mischa (talk) 09:54, 16 February 2020 (UTC)
We now have all medal winners as Tomohito Ito was our last Bronze Medalist. - Mischa (talk) 18:03, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
Max Puckett brings us to 1,050, shortly before the 2020 Olympics are belatedly set to begin. - Mischa (talk) 17:52, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
Up to 1,100 with Koyo Aoyagi - Mischa (talk) 16:42, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Tae-in Won is #1,150 - Mischa (talk) 16:41, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
Mexico is our 10th country complete. Isaac Rodríguez was our last player there. - Mischa (talk) 19:18, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
Israel is the 11th complete country, with Tal Erel being the last added. - Mischa (talk) 20:15, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
With Hirofumi Ogawa's entry added, Japan is our 12th completed country. - Mischa (talk) 17:51, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
Ira Davenport, one of the first baseball Olympians, gets us to 1,200 - Mischa (talk) 17:27, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
Hyuk Yoon was our last South Korean. It's our 13th completed country - though maybe not really as Japan is actually missing their 1964 roster from that page. There is info here so they're not really complete. Other countries not complete: US (exhibitions only, not real Olympics), Netherlands (1988), Puerto Rico (2 guys from 1988) and Italy (1992). - Mischa (talk) 16:44, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
