The 2021 Houston Astros opened the season in style, by traveling to the Oakland Coliseum and sweeping a four-game series from their main division rivals, the Oakland Athletics. They scored at least 8 runs in each of the four games, becoming one of only four teams in history to do so, the most recent having been the 2003 New York Yankees, who went on to play in the World Series that year.
